Hip hop tycoon’s foreclosed home goes to auction

Record label co-founder Joaquin “Waah” Dean’s house in Suffern, New York will be auctioned off this September, lohud.com reported on August 29.

Dean is the co-founder of Ruff Ryders Indy, and is largely credited for introducing artists like DMX, Eve, and Swizz Beatz to the scene. Reports said Dean’s home on Cherry Lane was foreclosed after defaulting on his $787,500 mortgage. The 4,350 square-foot house includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and is situated inside the 2.27-acre property. Aside from the foreclosure auction, Dean has suffered other financial problem after losing more than $200,000 from 2011 to 2012. The auction will be held at Rockland County Courthouse on September 25.
